EUROPE/AFRICA/ASIA: BBC Prime http://www.bbcprime.com/ heavily reorganized their TV schedule in the past week. Doctor Who will now air 2 episodes per week, instead of one. The episodes will first air Wednesday and Thursday at Noon. Episode 1 repeats late Friday at 12:30AM and Saturday at 4PM. Episode 2 repeats Saturday at 4:25PM and late Sunday at 12:30AM. All Doctor Who broadcasts now air in all regions, because they end before 1AM (when most African viewers lose the channel for the night). All times given are Central European Time - please adjust for your local time zone.
Dallas, TX - a viewer of KERA 13 http://www.kera.org/ has noticed that the station typically begins Doctor Who around 10 minutes earlier than the advertised start time of Midnight. Fortunately, KERA has realized this, as beginning this week their website now has Doctor Who beginning at 11:50PM.
With the transition to digital TV in the US, TV stations are slowly launching digital versions of their existing stations. KTCI-DT 16-5 (reads "2-5" on digital TVs, but it's channel 16) has been airing KTCA's lineup (including Doctor Who) for months. KERA 13 has now launched KERA-DT 14, which apparently is airing KERA's lineup. IPTV in Iowa has launched KDIN-DT 50, a digital version of KDIN 11, which is apparently airing IPTV's lineup for digital viewers. KERA-DT and KDIN-DT are now in the column listings. Maryland Public TV has WMPT-DT 42 on the air, and New Hampshire Public TV has a digital station up at channel 57, but they are apparently not simulcasting the analog lineup (including Doctor Who), so they are not not going into the column until the situation changes.
CANADA: Advance notice - SPACE: The Imagination Station is repeating the Peter Cushing Dr. Who film Daleks' Invasion Earth 2150 A.D. on Sunday, September 16 at 2PM EDT (3:30PM Newfoundland Time, 11AM PDT). This is the first Doctor Who broadcast in Canada since SPACE's previous airing of that movie, and will likely be the last Canadian appearance for Doctor Who until BBC Kids http://www.bbckids.ca/ launches in November. BBC Kids will be available largely on Shaw Digital Cable systems, though other cable companies are apparently able to add it to their lineups as well.
Chicago, IL USA: I came across an interesting website this week. Not sure if it belongs in the column full time, but I'll put it in this week and gauge reactions. http://www.chicagowho.com/ is a site covering the history of Doctor Who on Chicago TV. The main focus is on WTTW's Doctor Who broadcasts (1975-1976, 1978-1990, 1996), with some coverage of WYIN 56, the current Doctor Who affiliate in the area.

It's the end, but the moment has been prepared for. The Doctor Who episodes are about to get shorter, and the period of time from 9:05 to 9:10AM will find itself being used by other programming.
